USIU-Africa is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

1. Adjunct Faculty - Organic Chemistry
2. Adjunct Faculty - Physical and Analytical Chemistry
3. Laboratory Technologist – Human Physiology
4. Business Development Trainer
5. Innovation and Incubation Lead
6. Program Administrator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Program Administrator
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing innovation and incubation programs.
• Monitor program progress and prepare reports.
• Manage the Center’s calendar and maintain accurate records.
• Organize logistics for events such as pitch competitions and innovation showcases.
• Contribute to the creation of promotional materials and collect participant success stories.

2. Business Development Trainer
• Develop and deliver tailored training sessions for MSMEs.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to student entrepreneurs.
• Coordinate program activities, including mobilization, induction, and boot camps.
• Evaluate business pitches and guide entrepreneurs in managing seed funds.
• Offer business advisory services and connect entrepreneurs with industry experts.

3. Innovation and Incubation Lead
• Oversee the strategic direction of the Innovation and Incubation Center.
• Design and implement innovation programs and partnerships.
• Support startups in business model development and scaling strategies.
• Lead research on entrepreneurship and innovation to guide program improvements.
• Organize networking sessions and foster collaboration with industry stakeholders.

4. Laboratory Technologist – Human Physiology
• Designing and conducting lab tests according to standard procedures
• Supervising and assisting students during laboratory and research sessions
• Ensuring student adherence to safety protocols while performing practical’s
• Management of laboratory supplies
• Using, cleaning and maintaining various types of equipment.
• Segregate and dispose laboratory waste appropriately

5. Adjunct Faculty - Organic Chemistry & Physical and Analytical Chemistry
• Teach and assess selected Chemistry courses to undergraduate students in Bsc. Applied Biochemistry and Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Introduce and mark practical reports for assigned courses that have practical component
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
• Support and mentor students in their career endeavors.
• Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that the programs and the teaching content are up-to-date and marketable;
• Participate in program assessment and reviews;
