ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Must be applying for a Master by Research or Doctoral (PhD) degree at Curtin University.
• Must meet Curtin University’s admission requirements for a Higher Degree by Research.
• Must have a strong academic record, usually with a high GPA or equivalent.
• Must demonstrate research potential through previous research experience or publications (if available).
• Must be either an international student or a domestic applicant (Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian humanitarian visa).
• Must have a confirmed research supervisor at Curtin or apply to an advertised research project.
• Must meet English language proficiency requirements, as set by Curtin University.
• Must not be receiving another equivalent scholarship that provides a living allowance or tuition coverage.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

• Find a research supervisor at Curtin University Here.
• Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the supervisor.
• Receive an Invitation to Apply if shortlisted.
• Complete and submit the full application with required documents.
• Wait for scholarship outcome notification.
• Enrol and start the research degree if awarded.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Around 80 RTP scholarships are awarded each year at Curtin University.
• The scholarship includes tuition fee waiver, stipend, and possible allowances for relocation, travel, and thesis expenses.
• The annual living stipend is AUD 37,500 (around USD 25,000), tax-free.
