SCHOLARSHIPS BENEFITS:

As a fully funded award, the Chevening Scholarship covers all essential costs related to studying in the UK. Selected scholars will receive:

• Full coverage of university tuition fees
• A monthly living stipend
• Round-trip travel costs to and from the UK
• Arrival and departure allowances
• The cost of one UK visa application
• A travel grant to attend exclusive Chevening events within the UK


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship, applicants must:

•Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
•Return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after the award has ended.
•Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree, enabling entry into a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time they submit their application.
•Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
•Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by the required date.
•Not hold British or dual British citizenship.

For Chevening Fellowships, applicants must:
•Be a citizen of a fellowship-eligible country.
•Demonstrate the potential to rise to leadership and influence.
•Have a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Meet all programme-specific eligibility requirements.
• Have not received UK Government scholarship funding in the last five years.
• Not be an employee (or relative of an employee) of His Majesty’s Government or its associated bodies within the last two years.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS:
Chevening Scholarships support one-year master's degrees in any subject at any UK university. This allows applicants to choose from over 12,000 eligible courses at more than 150 institutions. Areas of study range widely, including (but not limited to):

• Public health
• International Relations
• Business and Management
• Engineering
• Law
• Environmental Studies
• Development Studies
• Health Sciences
• Media and Communications

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
Applicants must prepare and submit the following:

• Valid passport or national ID
• Academic transcripts and degree certificates
• English language test results (if required)
• References (two professional or academic referees)
• Unconditional offers from up to three UK universities (can be submitted later in the process)
• A well-written personal statement addressing leadership, networking, career plans, and how the UK degree will support them

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

2. Choose your eligible country and the scholarship or fellowship type you wish to apply for
3. Complete the online application form with accurate and honest information
4. Upload all required documents and submit before the deadline
5. If shortlisted, attend an interview at the British embassy or high commission in your country
6. Await final selection results

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Only work experience obtained after your graduation date will be considered toward the two-year requirement. This includes full-time jobs, part-time roles, voluntary work, and both paid and unpaid internships.

The application period for the 2025/2026 academic year opens on 5th August 2025 and closes on Tuesday, 7 October
