The Adventist School of Medicine of East-Central Africa (ASOME) has opened an excellent opportunity for aspiring medical students in Rwanda. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for a government-funded scholarship to pursue the General Medicine Program for the 2026 academic year. This scholarship is designed to support high-performing students who wish to build a career in the medical field and contribute to the country’s healthcare system.

This initiative is made possible through the partnership between the Government of Rwanda, the Ministry of Health (MoH), and the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) in collaboration with the Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA). ASOME is recognized for its modern facilities, experienced faculty, and dedication to producing skilled and ethical medical professionals prepared to serve both locally and globally.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be shortlisted, applicants must meet both subject combination and academic performance requirements.
1. Approved Subject Combinations
Eligible combinations include:
• Associate Nursing Program (ANP)
• Physics – Chemistry – Biology (PCB)
• Mathematics – Chemistry – Biology (MCB)

2. Academic Excellence
Candidates must meet the following minimum grades:
• Overall grade: 80%
• Biology: 85%
• Chemistry: 85%
• Mathematics or Physics: 70%
Only candidates fulfilling these academic requirements will be considered for shortlisting.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS
• Bachelor of Medicine (General Medicine Program)
Study begins in the 2026 academic year under full government sponsorship.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applicants must submit the following documents physically at the ASOME Admissions Office:
• Notarized Secondary Certificate/Diploma or equivalent
• Motivation letter
• Recent Non-Criminal Record
• Three (3) recent passport-size photographs
• Photocopy of National ID Card or Passport

2. Ensure your certificates are notarized before submission.
3. Visit the ASOME Admissions Office to submit your application physically.
4. Await shortlisting communication. Only top-performing applicants will be invited for interviews.
