RICA was established in collaboration with the Government of Rwanda and international partners to deliver world-class, hands-on agricultural education. The institution integrates conservation agriculture, research, practical training, and entrepreneurship to produce graduates who will lead Rwanda’s agricultural transformation. SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
All students admitted to RICA receive a full three-year scholarship, which includes:

Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Agriculture, equipped with skills to excel in agricultural science, agribusiness, technology, and environmental stewardship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Create an online application account using an email and a password
• Have sat for national examinations with a minimum score of 70%
• Demonstrate leadership and entrepreneurship potential
• Show a strong passion for agriculture and conservation practices
• Demonstrate proficiency in English
• Must have studied one of the following combinations or trades:

• Forestry
• Water and Irrigation
Applicants who have completed foreign curricula, such as the Cambridge or IB program, must present an equivalence certificate from NESA.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS
RICA offers a comprehensive program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Agriculture, integrating:
• Conservation agriculture practices
• Agricultural technology and machinery
• Agribusiness and entrepreneurship
• Policy, ecology, and sustainable land management
• Research and innovation
The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for emerging roles across Rwanda’s agricultural value chain.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applicants must upload the following documents in JPEG or PDF format (max 1 MB per file):
• National ID
• A-Level National Examination Results (REB or Rwanda TVET Board)
• NESA Equivalence Certificate (for foreign curriculum applicants)
• Any other supporting documents relevant to the application

2. Prepare scanned copies of all required documents in JPEG or PDF format.
3. Log in anytime using your credentials to continue or edit your application before submission.
4. Fill in all fields marked with an asterisk (*), click Save to retain your progress, and Next to move forward.
5. Click Submit once your application is complete. You cannot edit after submission.
6. You will receive an email confirming the successful submission of your application.
