Türkiye Scholarships are officially open to all international students and researchers worldwide for the 2026 intake. This fully funded, highly competitive scholarship program offers a life-changing opportunity to pursue higher education in Türkiye. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to prepare strong applications and submit them before the deadline of 20 February 2026.

The Türkiye Scholarships program is funded by the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and coordinated by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). It is implemented in collaboration with key national institutions, including the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Yurt-Kur, the General Directorate of Migration Management, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ensuring a transparent, well-structured, and globally recognized scholarship scheme.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Citizens of all countries are eligible
• Graduates or students who will graduate before August this year are also eligible
• Minimum academic performance:
• Associate and Bachelor’s degrees: at least 70%
• Master’s and PhD degrees: at least 75%
• Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy): at least 90%
• Age criteria:
• Associate & Bachelor’s programs: under 21 years
• Master’s programs: under 30 years
• PhD programs: under 35 years
• Research Scholarships: under 50 years

Not eligible:

• Turkish citizens or individuals who have lost Turkish citizenship
• Individuals currently enrolled in Turkish universities at the same level of study

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

All faculties and disciplines are available. Applicants may apply to any program at the following levels:

• Associate Degree
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Master’s Degree
• Doctoral (PhD) Degree

Graduates from WDA, TTC, and REB institutions are fully eligible to apply for their desired courses.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants are required to submit the following documents online:

• Valid ID card or passport (Passport is not mandatory)
• Passport picture (taken within the last year)
• National examination results (if applicable)
• Academic transcripts (Reports)
• Two essays
• Research proposal and written research sample (PhD applicants only)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Undergraduate candidates are required to sit for a 30-question quantitative test covering mathematics, geometry, and logic. The test duration is 60 minutes and is conducted prior to face-to-face interviews. Candidates shortlisted from over 100 countries are interviewed by expert academic committees, with interviews typically lasting 15–30 minutes.
