The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program is a prestigious scholarship initiative launched by the Hungarian government in 2013. Its goal is to promote cultural exchange and international collaboration in education by providing students from various countries the opportunity to pursue higher education in Hungary. The scholarship allows international students to pursue higher education degrees (bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and non-degree programs) in Hungarian universities with full financial support.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS :
The scholarship will cover the following:

• Full tuition fees,
• Free accommodation,
• Medical insurance,
• Air ticket,
• Monthly allowances depending on the level of study:
1. Bachelor’s and Master’s programs: A monthly allowance of HUF 43,700 (approximately €120) for living expenses, paid for 12 months a year.
2. For doctoral programs: 390 EUR/month for the first phase and 500 EUR/month for the second phase.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS:
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship offers a wide range of programs for international students at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. Over 800 degree programs are available in fields such as Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, Public Health, and more. Each university has specific offerings under the scholarship program, and the programs are conducted primarily in English or Hungarian. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Open to students from partner countries (over 70 countries across five continents) based on bilateral agreements between Hungary and the student’s home country. These countries are listed on the program’s official website found on the Scholarship link at the bottom.
• Generally, applicants should be at least 18 years old at the time of starting their studies in Hungary.
• Applicants should not be Hungarian citizens or hold dual nationality with Hungary.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
To apply for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, you typically need to submit the following documents:

1. High School and/or University Diplomas: Copies of your high school diploma (for undergraduate applicants) and/or your university degree (for master's or doctoral applicants). These should be officially translated into English or Hungarian if they are in a different language.
2. Academic Transcripts: Official transcripts from the institutions you have attended, showing your academic performance. These should also be in English or Hungarian if needed.
3. Language Proficiency Certificate: Proof of proficiency in the language of instruction (usually English or Hungarian). This can be an official language test score such as IELTS, TOEFL, or another recognized exam. Some universities may accept alternative forms of proof (such as a statement from your previous school that English was the language of instruction).
4. Motivation Letter: A personal statement or motivation letter explaining why you want to study in Hungary, your career goals, and why you have chosen the specific program and university.
5. Medical Certificate: A certificate confirming that you are in good health and fit for study, typically required for scholarship programs.
6. Recommendation Letters: Typically, two recommendation letters from teachers or professors who can attest to your academic abilities and character.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP:
To apply for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2024 – 2025 , you need to follow two primary submission steps: through the Stipendium Hungaricum online portal and through the home country’s nominating authority (e.g., ministries, embassies, or national agencies).

Two simultaneous submissions:

The application deadline for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic year is January 15, 2025, at 2 p.m. Central European Time. It's important to complete your application and ensure all documents are submitted before the deadline
