AVAILABLE POSITIONS

1.     Community Engagement Specialist

    • Reports to: Director General of Community Mobilization & Youth Volunteers Coordination in Community Policing

1.     Local Governance and Sector Decentralization Policy Specialist

o   Institution: Ministry of Local Government (MINALOC)

o   Reports to: Director General of Decentralization and Governance

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Engagement Specialist

·       Establish mobilization strategies to promote self-reliance and community engagement in socio-economic transformation.

·       Identify and document key community issues requiring strategic solutions.

·       Develop collaboration strategies with partner institutions to address community challenges.

·       Identify and publish innovative community-based solutions to inspire other communities.

·       Promote citizen engagement in socio-economic programs to reduce dependency.

·       Maintain effective relations between communities and local authorities.

·       Coordinate partners involved in community development programs.

·       Conduct research related to community engagement and mobilization.

·       Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Local Governance and Sector Decentralization Policy Specialist

·       Lead development of policies, strategies, programs, and regulations promoting decentralization.

·       Review existing laws, policies, and programs related to decentralization.

·       Provide technical guidance on decentralization strategies and projects.

·       Strengthen citizen participation in decision-making, planning, and budgeting.

·       Facilitate engagement of Faith-Based Organizations in development programs.

·       Provide technical support for capacity development of local government staff.

·       Monitor and coordinate Sector Working Group and Joint Sector Review activities.

·       Conduct research related to decentralization and governance.

·       Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
