ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Hold a PhD in one of the following fields:

o   Horticulture

o   Plant Sciences

o   Agriculture

o   Crop Sciences

o   Biological Sciences

o   Bioscience Engineering

·       Have at least two (2) publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals

·       Candidates without a PhD in Horticulture must have a background in a horticulture-related field

·       No prior work experience required

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

·       Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering (1 Position)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

·       Teaching and training students in horticulture and related fields

·       Preparing lectures, conducting research, and academic planning

·       Developing and implementing high-quality curricula

·       Engaging in professional and personal development

·       Participating in scholarly and community outreach activities

·       Conducting research and publishing academic work

·       Mentoring junior teaching staff

·       Supervising student projects

·       Facilitating student industrial attachments

·       Conducting training needs assessments aligned with curricula

·       Providing professional and technical advice to the institution

·       Participating in institutional income-generating activities

·       Performing any other duties assigned by supervisors

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

·       Academic certificates and transcripts (PhD required)

·       Proof of publications (at least two peer-reviewed journal articles)
