The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the position of Senior Human Resources Manager based in Rwanda. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

·       Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field (required)

·       Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)

·       Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD, or equivalent (highly desirable)

·       Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience

·       At least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role

·       Experience working with international NGOs or civil society organizations (preferred)

·       Strong knowledge of HR policies, systems, and compliance requirements

·       Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda (required); French is an added advantage

·       Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills

·       Ability to travel regularly within Rwanda

 

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

·       Senior Human Resources Manager (1 Position)

o   Location: Kinigi, Musanze District, Northern Province, Rwanda

o   Reports to: Country Director

o   Supervises: Human Resources Officer

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all HR functions

·       Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals

·       Advise leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement

·       Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes

·       Lead performance management and staff development initiatives

·       Ensure compliance with Rwandan labor laws and organizational policies

·       Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning processes

·       Promote a positive organizational culture and staff well-being

·       Manage HR systems, documentation, and reporting

·       Support safeguarding policies and ethical standards

·       Supervise HR staff and manage HR budgets

·       Oversee compensation, benefits, and HR analytics
