The organization is currently recruiting a Project Manager – Workforce to join its Rwanda Program, based in Kigali. This role contributes to strengthening Rwanda’s eye health workforce system through sustainable training, capacity building, and health system development initiatives.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in project management, public health, international development, health sciences, social sciences, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)

·       5–7 years of experience in project management within international development, humanitarian, or public health programs

·       Experience managing donor-funded projects with strong reporting and compliance

·       Proven experience working with multi-stakeholder partnerships (government, NGOs, academic institutions, etc.)

·       Experience in workforce development, training, or systems strengthening

·       Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

·       Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Design and implement eye health workforce strengthening interventions aligned with national priorities

·       Support pre-service and in-service training systems, including faculty development and mentorship programs

·       Strengthen leadership and research capacity among health professionals

·       Coordinate with Ministry of Health, academic institutions, and partners for program delivery

·       Build and maintain professional networks and collaborations at local and international levels

·       Promote equitable workforce policies, retention, and supportive working conditions

·       Develop and manage project workplans, budgets, and timelines

·       Track progress, risks, and performance indicators with MERL teams

·       Prepare donor reports and documentation on project performance

·       Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and accountability standards are upheld

·       Promote strong stakeholder engagement and collaborative leadership
