DASSO plays a key role in maintaining public order, supporting local authorities, and ensuring the safety and security of residents. Successful candidates will serve in one of Kigali City's districts and contribute to the effective implementation of security and governance initiatives.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Be a Rwandan citizen.

·       Apply voluntarily.

·       Be at least 18 years old and not older than 25 years.

·       Demonstrate good moral character and conduct.

·       Have never been sentenced to imprisonment of six (6) months or more in a final court judgment.

·       Hold at least an Advanced Level (A2) secondary school certificate or an equivalent qualification.

·       Be physically fit and in good health to perform DASSO duties, as certified by a government-recognized medical doctor.

·       Have never been permanently dismissed or removed from public service.

·       Successfully pass the DASSO recruitment examinations.

There are 116 available positions for the role of DASSO Officer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

·       Supporting district authorities in maintaining public security and order.

·       Assisting in the implementation of local security policies and regulations.

·       Collaborating with relevant authorities to prevent and respond to security-related incidents.

·       Protecting public property and ensuring compliance with local administrative regulations.

·       Performing other duties assigned in accordance with DASSO regulations and operational requirements.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants must submit the following documents:

·       Application letter addressed to the Mayor of Kigali City, clearly indicating one (1) preferred district of deployment.

·       Photocopy of National Identification Card (ID).

·       Photocopy of academic certificate(s).

·       Medical certificate issued by a government-recognized doctor confirming physical fitness and good health.

·       Certificate of good conduct issued by the Sector administration.

Applications should be submitted either physically or electronically through the district where the applicant wishes to work.

Physical applications must be delivered to the Secretariat Office of the preferred district during official working hours from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
