ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

·       Be international students from any country

·       Hold an undergraduate degree in:

o   Natural Resource Management

o   Wildlife Ecology/Management

o   Ecology

o   Related environmental or conservation fields

·       Demonstrate strong motivation, self-discipline, and ability to work independently

·       Have strong written and oral communication skills

·       Be able to work effectively with researchers and other team members

·       Show interest in areas such as:

o   Urban ecology

o   Conservation biology

o   Human impacts on wildlife

·       Have experience engaging with the public and different stakeholder groups

Preferred qualifications include:

·       Experience in public outreach and stakeholder engagement

·       Experience giving educational or interpretive presentations to different audiences

The research project focuses on bird-window collisions, one of the leading causes of bird mortality worldwide. Students will conduct field research and data analysis related to:

·       Evaluating methods for reducing bird-window collisions

·       Identifying factors influencing collisions, including:

o   Light pollution

o   Landscape characteristics

o   Weather conditions

·       Using large-scale datasets such as bird occurrence databases and citizen science platforms
