BPR Bank Rwanda PLC is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for multiple cybersecurity positions within its Information Technology and Information Security departments. BPR Bank Rwanda PLC is one of Rwanda’s leading financial institutions, committed to strengthening digital security, protecting customer information, and ensuring that its technology infrastructure complies with international cybersecurity standards. The selected candidates will contribute to enhancing the bank’s security posture through monitoring, assessment, risk management, and incident response activities.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in:
o Information Technology
o Computer Science
o Telecommunications Engineering
o Electrical/Electronic Engineering
o Related fields
· A Master’s Degree in MBA, MSc, or related fields is an added advantage.
· Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in areas such as:
o Information Security Management
o Cybersecurity Operations
o Network and System Administration
o Security Assessment and Testing
o Identity and Access Management
o Vulnerability Management
o Security Policies and Compliance
· Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and technologies.
· Relevant professional certifications are highly valued, including:
o CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
o CISSP
o CISM
o CISA
o CCNA Security
o OSCP / OSWE
o GIAC Certifications
o CompTIA CySA+
o Other recognized cybersecurity certificationsxe
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
1. IT Security Analyst
Number of Positions: 1
The IT Security Analyst will support the implementation and operation of cybersecurity controls, ensuring that the bank’s networks, servers, cloud environments, endpoints, IoT devices, and enterprise systems remain secure.
2. Application Security Manager
Number of Positions: 1
The Application Security Manager will lead the bank’s application security function by ensuring business applications are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry standards. The role involves managing application security teams, overseeing security testing, and implementing secure software development practices.
3. Security Monitoring and Response Analyst
Number of Positions: 1
The Security Monitoring and Response Analyst will work within the Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats affecting the bank’s systems, applications, networks, and data.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Security Analyst Responsibilities:
· Conduct security assessments of infrastructure, systems, and platforms.
· Monitor security posture of networks, servers, cloud environments, and endpoints.
· Identify and follow up on vulnerability remediation.
· Support cybersecurity tools and security solutions.
· Assist with security audits and compliance activities.
· Support incident detection and response activities.
· Maintain documentation of security assessments and vulnerabilities.
Application Security Manager Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the Application Security team.
· Oversee vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (VAPT).
· Implement secure software development lifecycle (Secure-SDLC) practices.
· Ensure applications comply with security standards.
· Manage identity lifecycle and access governance.
· Assess and mitigate application security risks.
· Guide teams on frameworks including:
o OWASP Top 10
o NIST
o ISO 27001
o PCI DSS
o GDPR
Security Monitoring and Response Analyst Responsibilities:
· Monitor cybersecurity alerts using SIEM, EDR, NDR, and SOAR tools.
· Analyze and investigate suspicious activities.
· Perform incident response actions including containment and recovery.
· Conduct log analysis and security investigations.
· Support threat intelligence and threat hunting activities.
· Improve security monitoring rules and detection processes.
· Document incidents and provide security reports.
