ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program 2025, offered by the Rwanda Ministry of Health in partnership with Aga Khan University Hospital in Kenya, has the following requirements:

• be Rwandan by nationality
• Education – You must have a Master’s degree in Pediatrics and Child Health (MMed) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Medical License – You need to be registered as a doctor in Kenya or another East African country.
• Work Experience – At least two years of experience working in pediatrics.
• English Skills – You should be able to speak and understand English well.
• Insurance – You must have professional indemnity insurance, which covers you during training.
• hold a valid license to practice issued by Rwanda Medical & Dental Council at the time of the program commencement
• flexible, with a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to diverse cultural settings
• effective leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• fluency in oral and written English is required


REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
To apply for the Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program 2025, a collaboration between the Rwanda Ministry of Health and Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, applicants are typically required to submit the following documents:

• Application Form: Complete and submit the official application form the Rwanda Ministry of Health provided.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV): An updated CV detailing your educational background, clinical experience, and any relevant research or publications.
• Personal Statement: A letter expressing your interest in pediatric rheumatology, outlining your career goals, and explaining how the fellowship aligns with your professional aspirations.

• Employer Commitment Letter: If employed, a letter from your current employer confirming their support for your participation in the fellowship, including the continuation of your salary during the training period.
