Applications are now open for 54 Government-sponsored scholarships for the September 2026 intake at Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA). The scholarships are available to eligible candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Midwifery and Bachelor of Nursing programmes.  Register for our Coaching class for the Duolingo English Test

The scholarships are allocated by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and offered through Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA). Applicants must meet the applicable AUCA admission requirements, programme-specific requirements, and Higher Education Council (HEC) requirements for undergraduate admission.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Successful candidates will benefit from Ministry of Health–sponsored scholarships for undergraduate studies at AUCA.

A total of 54 scholarships are available:

·       36 scholarships for the Bachelor of Midwifery

·       18 scholarships for the Bachelor of Nursing

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants with qualifications obtained before 2008

Applicants should have:

·       A2 Nursing qualification.

·       A valid NCNM licence.

·       The required C+ grades.

Applicants with qualifications obtained before 2024 should have:

·       Two Principal Passes.

·       At least a C grade in Biology and Chemistry.

·       At least a D grade in Mathematics or Physics.

Applicants from 2024 onwards

The accepted combinations include:

·       PCB

·       MCB

·       BCG

·       Associate Nurse Programme

Candidates must also meet one of the following requirements:

·       Hold a High School Certificate with at least 60% (E).

·       Have 2 Principal Passes (2PP) with at least 60% (E) in Biology and 60% (E) in Chemistry.

·       Hold a High School Certificate in the Associate Nurse Programme, with 2 Principal Passes in Fundamentals of Nursing and Clinical Placement, each with at least 60% (E).

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

The Ministry of Health-sponsored scholarships are available for:

1.     Bachelor of Midwifery – 36 scholarships

2.     Bachelor of Nursing – 18 scholarships

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Eligible applicants will participate in the required selection process, which includes an entrance examination. The entrance examination is scheduled for the week of 14–18 September 2026.

The scholarships are intended specifically for eligible candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery programmes at AUCA.

Scholarships will be awarded to candidates who successfully pass the required selection process.
