Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) has opened applications for prospective students wishing to join its colleges in Year One for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. Applications are open to public, private, and foreign candidates seeking admission under Government-sponsored or Self/Private-Sponsored arrangements. The online application period runs from 23 September to 03 October 2026. Register for 2nd intake of our coaching class for the Duolingo English Test  

The admissions call is organized by Rwanda Polytechnic, which offers a range of technical and professional programs through its colleges. Applicants can apply online through the official RP application portal and may be considered for their selected programs at any of the RP colleges, subject to available places and academic performance.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

The call provides opportunities for eligible applicants to apply for admission under:

·       Government Sponsored arrangements.

·       Self/Private-Sponsored arrangements.

·       Admission to programs offered at Rwanda Polytechnic colleges.

·       Applicants may be admitted to their programs of choice at any RP college, depending on available places and academic performance.

·       A wide range of Advanced Diploma and Bachelor of Technology programs are available in technical, engineering, ICT, agriculture, hospitality, tourism, and other fields.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Have a Senior 6 / Level 5 Certificate or results slip.

·       International candidates must have an equivalent qualification provided by NESA (National Examination and School Inspection Authority).

·       Have a copy of a National ID or a valid passport for international applicants.

·       Have a valid email address and password.

·       Pay the required non-refundable application fee of 5,000 RWF.

Additional requirements apply to candidates who completed secondary education before 2024. Such candidates must have two principal passes in principal subjects relevant to the program.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants should prepare:

1.     Senior 6 / Level 5 Certificate or results slip, or an NESA equivalence document for international candidates.

2.     National ID for Rwandan applicants.

3.     Valid passport for international applicants.

4.     A valid email address and password for creating and accessing the application account.

5.     Payment of the 5,000 RWF non-refundable application fee.

Applicants whose examination marks are not available in the SDMS system may be provided with an option to manually enter their academic data during the application process.Register for 2nd intake of our coaching class for the Duolingo English Test  

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Applicants should follow these steps:

1.     Open the application link at the bottom of this page.

2.     Click to start the application.

3.     Select the appropriate application category and proceed.

4.     Enter the year of completion.

5.     Create an account using the applicant's index number.

6.     Verify the account and submit the applicant's profile.

7.     Complete the application, save the information, and proceed to payment.

8.     Pay the required application fee using one of the payment methods provided on the portal.

9.     Submit the completed application.

After successful submission, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address used during account creation. Applicants who do not receive a confirmation email should consider their application incomplete and resubmit it. Only complete and successfully submitted applications will be received and considered by the RP admission team.
