Are you a student passionate about a career in healthcare? The PHN Charitable Foundation (PHNCF) is offering a great opportunity for students pursuing careers in human healthcare and allied health fields. Every year, PHNCF awards $30,000 in scholarships to help students achieve their dreams of working in the medical field.

This scholarship aims to support students who want to become doctors, nurses, technicians, pharmacists, mental health professionals, and more. If you are planning to study in a healthcare-related field, this scholarship can provide financial assistance to help you reach your goals.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
• A total of $30,000 in scholarships is available.
• 10 students will each receive a $3,000 scholarship.
• An internship opportunity for scholarship recipients at Primary Health Network (PHN) or PHN Charitable Foundation.
• Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the student's educational institution.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

• Reside in one of the eligible counties in Pennsylvania (PA) or Ohio (OH) (see Eligible Counties list below in the Additional information section).
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Be enrolled in a qualifying healthcare or allied health program for the 2025/2026 academic year. ("Undecided" majors are not eligible.)
• Be planning to pursue a career in human healthcare, including behavioral/mental health and dental care.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS
The scholarship is open to students pursuing careers in the following fields:

• Medicine (Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, etc.)
• Mental and Behavioral Health
• Allied Healthcare
• Dental Care
• Medical Billing and Office Administration

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
To apply, students must submit the following:

• G.P.A. of 3.0 or Higher (must provide transcripts)- Unofficial transcripts are sufficient, however, the transcripts you submit must have your name, your school's name and/or logo, and your GPA clearly visible. PDF uploads are the preferred method of submission. Photos are not acceptable.

• A 550-600 word essay that explains how you could apply your education, goals and ideals at or with PHN and PHNCF to advance community health and wellness in the PHN/PHNCF footprint.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES
1. Review the mission and programs of PHNCF.
2. Write an essay explaining how your education and career goals align with PHNCF’s mission.
3. Prepare and upload your unofficial transcripts.
4. Submit your application by opening the link at the bottom of this page.

• Applicants will be disqualified if any personal details (name, address, phone number, etc.) are listed within the essay. This includes the names of siblings, teachers, coworkers, etc. Please use other identifiers such as "my sister" or "my teacher" instead
