ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS :
INES-Ruhengeri, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health through France Expertise under the 4X4 Strategy, offers scholarships for health science programs. These scholarships provide full coverage of tuition fees and living expenses for (a Bachelor's of Science with Honors in Anesthesia and Bachelor's of Science with Honors in Midwifery), while others cover tuition fees only , including (Bachelor's of Science with Honors in General Nursing and Bachelor's of Science with Honors in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1. BSc with Honours in Midwifery, BSc with Honours in Anaesthesia and BSc with
Honours in General Nursing:
a. To have at least a Grade C in Biology and Chemistry.
b. Completed general secondary education with one of the following principal subjects:
• Physics-Chemistry-Biology,
• Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology,
• Biology-Chemistry-Geography.
c. A2 nurses with a minimum of distinction, holding a valid nursing council practice license, and at least 2 years of work experience.
2. BSc with Honours in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences:
a. To have at least a Grade C in Biology and Chemistry.
b. Completed general secondary education with one of the following principal subjects:
• Physics-Chemistry-Biology,
• Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology,
• Biology-Chemistry-Geography.
c. A2 in Medical Laboratory.
AVAILABLE PROGRAMS
The INES-Ruhengeri scholarship, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health through France Expertise, is available for the following health science programs:
• Bachelor of science with honors in Midwifery
• Bachelor of science with honors in General Nursing
• Bachelor of science with honors in Anesthesia
• Bachelor of science with honors in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
Please take your Application documents: S6 Certificate (diploma or result slip) and ID/Passport and move to INES Online Application Portal by clicking the scholarship link at the end of this page to start your application.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. Candidates who meet the admission requirements will take an entrance exam on March 14, 2025.
2. The final selection for the scholarship will be based on the scores obtained in this exam.
3. Students who are awarded the scholarship will be required to sign an agreement with the Ministry of Health (MoH). This contract ensures that after graduation, they will serve in the health system for a specific period.
4. The scholarship is open to students who completed senior six (or its equivalent) in 2022-2023 or earlier. Those who graduated in 2023-2024 are not eligible to apply.
5. The Bachelor of Science in General Nursing (A0) and Midwifery (A0) is a full-time, 4-year program. Applicants who are currently employed may not be eligible unless they leave their job before starting the program.
6. Students who are already receiving another government-funded or partner-funded scholarship, or those who have already completed a university-level program, are not eligible to apply.

All documents are accepted through the AUCA email: admissions@auca.ac.rw, or applicants should submit their hard copies to the Registrar's office at AUCA Campuses, Masoro, Gishushu and Ngoma (Karongi).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. The Final selected students to benefit the scholarships will sign a contract agreement with MoH to ensure their absorption into the health system after their graduation, of which they will be required to serve for a minimum period.
2. These scholarships target students who have graduated from senior six or its equivalent in the School year 2022-2023 and years before. Those who graduated in the school year 2023-2024 are not eligible to apply
3. Bachelor of Science with Honors in General Nursing (A0) is a 4-year full-time program. Prospective students who are working are not eligible for admission unless they terminate their current employment.
4. Students currently receiving another scholarship funded by the Government or their partners, or those who have graduated from other university-level programs, are not eligible to apply. Any violation of these application requirements will result in immediate disqualification upon discovery.
