The Asia Pacific University (APU) MEXT Scholarship is a prestigious award offered by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in collaboration with Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. This scholarship aims to attract talented international students by providing full financial support, including coverage of admission and tuition fees, a generous monthly living stipend, and round-trip airfare to Japan. Available through both the University Recommendation and Embassy Recommendation routes, the scholarship is open to applicants from countries with diplomatic relations with Japan and is highly competitive. It is designed to support students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong interest in contributing to international exchange and mutual understanding.

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), located in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, is one of Japan’s most internationally diverse universities, with students from over 90 countries. Established in 2000, APU offers a multicultural learning environment where roughly half of the student body and faculty come from overseas. The university is known for its strong emphasis on global perspectives, innovative academic programs in fields such as international relations, business, sustainability, and culture, as well as its supportive campus community. Studying at APU not only provides high-quality education in English or Japanese but also immerses students in a unique cultural exchange environment that prepares them to thrive in an interconnected world. 📚 Register now for our new programs at MK SCHOLARS.
