Arizona State University (ASU) is currently seeking a Coordinator to support the academic success and leadership development of Mastercard Foundation Scholars. This in-person role is based at Kepler College in Kigali, Rwanda, and focuses on Scholars enrolled in ASU’s online graduate programs. The program operates under the administrative direction of the ASU Program Manager. The Coordinator works collaboratively with a broader global team to ensure program goals and objectives are achieved in alignment with established priorities and funding guidelines. This initiative is a partnership between the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program and Arizona State University. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Must hold a Master’s degree in education, public administration, social work, instructional design, global development, or a related field.
• Location: Applicants must be currently located in Kigali, Rwanda, and able to commute to the Kepler College campus.
• Autonomy: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly to perform all essential duties.
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Alumni Status: Preference for alumni of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (undergraduate or graduate level).
• Technical Experience: Experience in learning design, virtual facilitation, online classroom engagement, or instructional content creation.
• Program Experience: Background in scholarship program coordination and administration.
• Regional Context: Familiarity with sub-Saharan Africa and youth-facing initiatives.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

• Position Title: Coordinator - Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU (Kepler College).
• Employee Type: Full-Time.
• Salary Range: 36,000,000 RWF to 43,000,000 RWF.
• Work Location: In-person at Kepler College, Kigali, Rwanda.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advising & Support: Serve as a direct advisor for assigned Scholars, monitoring academic progress and coordinating interventions with faculty and staff.
• Program Coordination: Plan and facilitate signature activities, including orientation, monthly meetings, and immersive summer experiences.
• Engagement & Facilitation: Lead reflective group discussions to promote critical thinking and advance student engagement in service, volunteer, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
• Administrative Management: Maintain accurate student records, track budget-related information, and prepare program data reports.
• Liaison & Collaboration: Coordinate logistics with university departments and external partners to ensure the delivery of wrap-around services.
• Flexible Schedule: Occasional evening or early morning hours may be required to accommodate global time zones and Scholar availability.
