ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships

Applicants generally must:

·       Be international/overseas students for tuition-fee purposes.

·       Apply for a full-time undergraduate programme at the University of Birmingham UK campus.

·       Be entering the first year of their degree.

·       Meet the academic and English-language requirements of their chosen programme.

·       Demonstrate strong academic achievement.

·       Be from an eligible country or region.

·       Have sufficient funds to cover costs not covered by the scholarship.

Postgraduate Chancellor’s Scholarships

Applicants generally must:

·       Be classified as international students.

·       Apply for an eligible full-time postgraduate taught master’s programme.

·       Receive an offer from the University of Birmingham.

·       Meet the academic conditions of the offer.

·       Have an excellent academic record.

·       Be from an eligible country or region.

·       Be able to cover remaining tuition fees and living expenses.

Chevening & Birmingham Partnership

Applicants must generally:

·       Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.

·       Have completed an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for a UK master’s programme.

·       Have at least 2,800 hours of work experience.

·       Apply for three eligible UK master’s courses.

·       Meet the Chevening leadership and career requirements.

·       Commit to returning to their home country for at least two years after the scholarship.

·       Obtain at least one qualifying university offer by the required deadline.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

Undergraduate

·       Eligible full-time undergraduate programmes offered at the University of Birmingham UK campus.

·       Some programmes, such as Medicine and Dentistry, may be excluded from particular regional awards.

Master’s

·       Eligible full-time postgraduate taught master’s programmes.

·       Chevening applicants must choose eligible one-year UK master’s programmes.

Note: Eligibility varies by scholarship, programme, country, and region. Research degrees and distance-learning programmes may not qualify for some awards.

For High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarship

2. Apply for admission through UCAS.

5. Follow the specific application or nomination instructions for your regional scholarship.

For Postgraduate Chancellor’s Scholarship

1.     Select an eligible master’s programme.

2.     Submit your application for admission to the University of Birmingham.

3.     Receive an offer for an eligible programme.

4.     Check the scholarship available for your country or region.

5.     Complete the required scholarship application, Statement of Purpose, nomination, or interview process, depending on the award.

For Chevening & Birmingham Partnership

1.     Apply through the official Chevening application system.

2.     Confirm that you meet all Chevening requirements.

3.     Select three eligible UK master’s courses.

4.     Submit your Chevening application.

5.     Apply separately for admission to your chosen University of Birmingham programme.

6.     If shortlisted, provide the required references and educational documents and attend the interview.

7.     Obtain at least one qualifying university offer and submit it through the Chevening system before the deadline.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

·       The University of Birmingham does not select the main Chevening Scholarship recipients; selection is conducted through the Chevening process.

·       Scholarship requirements differ between countries and regions.
